MENACE signs with MOMR.
We have to admit that in the past we weren't paying a lot of attention to the Italian metal scene, but it has started changing in the more recent years. There are some awesome bands here which may be known only or mostly locally, but definitely deserve to be heard by a wider audience. One of them is our relatively new discovery, a heavy/speed metal band MENACE, whom we are chuffed to announce as the latest addition to the Metal on Metal Records roster.
MENACE are not a newcomer - they were formed back in 1997 by Dario Vicariotto (currently known as the guitarist of IV SIGILLO), however they had only three releases so far: a demo, an EP and a full-length released in 2012, which we had missed in the sea of other releases. When they sent us their new recording, we were blown away not only by the sheer metalness of the songs, but also by the quality of the recording, so our answer was a resounding "YES!". "Wheel of Spikes" will be out at the Keep It True festival, and all we can say now is: anybody who loves JUDAS PRIEST, MERCYFUL FATE, KING DIAMOND, VICIOUS RUMORS, EXCITER and in general pure aggressive heavy metal with high-pitched vocals, will love this album. We just can't stop listening to it!
