DAWNRIDER "Five Signs of Malice" album details.

Our second October 3rd / Keep It True Rising festival release is the fifth full-length album of Portuguese doom metal pioneers DAWNRIDER who celebrate their 20th anniversary with "Five Signs of Malice". With an emphasis on bottom-end, ultra heavy riffs and Hammond-style keys, it offers a vintage doom metal experience that borders on proto-doom with psychedelic elements. Like their last album, it was mixed and mastered by Tony Reed (Pentagram, Mos Generator, Saint Vitus, Electric Wizard, Blues Pills...), and while being quite loud, it's still pleasantly organic sounding. DAWNRIDER's style shares many similarities with NOMAD SON, BLOOD FARMERS, DOOMRAISER, REVEREND BIZARRE and OGRE, and is definitely inspired by the genre forefathers: BLACK SABBATH, DEEP PURPLE, PENTAGRAM, BEDEMON, TROUBLE, SIR LORD BALTIMORE and BLUE CHEER.

Filipe Relêgo, the band's vocalist and bass player, had this to say about the album's lyrical themes: "To talk about human nature is also to talk about the bestiality in human beings, their dark side, and their capacity to brutalise, to attack, even to take the lives of their fellow human beings. On 'Five Signs of Malice' we deal with this dark and disturbing subject, which is undoubtedly inherent in human reality."

Last week, the first lyric video for "Perishing Hour" was published on 666MrDoom channel. Today, you can watch a new one, also created by the band's guitarist, Hugo Conim, for "King Crow"
here and a static promo clip for "Twelve Severed Heads" here.

All three songs are now available for streaming from the Bandcamp player on the DAWNRIDER page, as well. The full album track list is as follows:

1. Twelve Severed Heads
2. Old Beast
3. King Crow
4. Lawless Road
5. Perishing Hour
6. Outro
