BIOGRAPHY:
ELUSIVE GOD is an epic doom metal band from Croatia, formed in 2018. The band offers their vision of doom metal as dark, heavy and atmospheric genre with strong traditional metal influence, arguably creating a signature - Croatian METAL - sound. In the very beginning, the band acted as an art collective releasing videos for the songs "Silence is Our Doom" and "Dream Within a Dream". Their goal was to bring darkness and mysticism back into metal music. Also, it was important to make a statement: "We are Elusive God and we're here to play some doom fucking METAL the way we think it's supposed to be played." The important influence that makes ELUSIVE GOD's sound distinctive comes from the traditional music/melodies from northern parts of Croatia along with traditional music from the vast areas that range from Carpathian mountains up to Pannonian plain.

"The Darkest Flame" EP was released by Solitude Productions in 2020 and introduced the band to a broader doom metal audience over the world.

The first full length album, "Trapped in a Future Unknown'', was released in 2022 by Rafchild Records. The album stands as their most epic and melodic release so far with lyrical themes that varied from introspection, occultism, mythology and general questioning and seeking answers about our very existence in this world. Even though the overall sound is really melancholic, there's always some sort of epic grandiosity offered to the listener in their songs.

At the end of 2022, ELUSIVE GOD made their very first live appearance at the Satan Klaus Fest in Volyně, Czechia. This unique event was recorded. Since the band was so pleased with the whole festival, atmosphere and live recording, they decided to self-release a live album "Doom in Bohemia". It's a perfect overview of what ELUSIVE GOD's live show is all about.

In November 2023, they played at the XVII edition of Doom Over Vienna festival, alongside FORSAKEN, EVADNE and others. This show confirmed that there is a dedicated ELUSIVE GOD following in Europe and that they are truly a part of a really remarkable doom metal scene.

In early 2024, the band released a single "Ples Demona" accompanied by a short movie. This single was a preview of their upcoming album called "Ambis", which was recorded in Hellsound studio in Czechia. Once again, the band decided to take a step further and refine their signature doom metal sound with lyrics sung in their native language for the greater possibility of authentic expression, given that the songs deal with personal topics. For ELUSIVE GOD, it's all about constantly reconnecting with what matters most - expression, art, and the story it holds.

In late spring of 2024, the band contacted Metal on Metal Records, who happened to already be fans of their music, so the agreement was reached and the co-operation started swiftly. "Ambis" is scheduled to be released in October 2024. Expect epic and grandiose moments as an excellent contrast to the unprecedented anger, pain and aggression expressed on their sophomore album, as the darker lyrics consequently led to a darker atmosphere and some of the fiercest and most rotten ELUSIVE GOD riffs recorded so far.
