This Hammer of Doom festival was the release date for 2 new MOMR albums: ARKHAM WITCH "I Am Providence" and MORTALICUM "Eyes of the Demon", and one re-release ARKHAM WITCH "Legions of the Deep Respawned". The 3rd album of the ARKHAM WITCH is still mostly old fashioned British heavy metal but they've added more punk and thrash to it now. The new songs are shorter and more melodic, with strong emphasis on backing vocals and sing-along choruses, but they also deliver punches with some chunky riffs. A fun take on the pulpy side of Lovecraft, with hooks the size of Cthulhu's claws! It can be ordered also in a convenient bundle together with "Legions of the Deep Respawned" CD (the remastered reissue with 3 live bonus tracks, 2 of which are previously unreleased songs, of the sold-out album from 2012) and with the "Weird Tales" EP, recorded during the same sessions and self-released by the band.

MORTALICUM deliver rocking heavy/doom metal of the highest caliber on their 4th album, "Eyes of the Demon". These Swedes have a knack for memorable melodies, groovy riffs and damn fine guitar solos. Gentle moments, jamming bass, powerful, natural sounding drums, and clean vocals with a melancholic undertone perfectly fitting the music. All performed with inherent ease and finesse... And this CD can be ordered also in bundle together with the band's two previous albums, "The Endtime Prophecy" and "Tears from the Grave".
